@Utsav singh, Yes. But a kind of lowpoly projection to have the best balance between poly count and alpha/quad overdraw.

your shader complexity is low because you used true polygon models instead of just a masked plane to prevent alpha overdraw?

News

Terra Nova is a dynamic in-game environment system for use in games that require the player to design its own environment. It uses procedural mesh components and simplex noise to generate believable landscapes on the go. It uses a self contained tile system to boost performance.

Features:

  • Dynamic world creation using simplex noise
  • Smart foliage spawning
  • Easy to swap meshes and materials
  • Road drawing system

The project was created for Unreal Engine 4.11

Developer states that Terra Nova is a research project meant for educational purposes, not a release ready project.

The Substance plugin is required to open the project, you can find it for free in the unreal vault or here.

You can also get a packaged build of the dynamic in-game environment builder here.

If you have any questions, you can contact the developer.
