Unity-Powered Dynamic Raindrop Decal

Sakura Rabbit presented a new mesmerizing project.

Sakura Rabbit, a renowned Developer and VFX Artist whose incredible "Venom shader" inspired by Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was featured here on 80 Level earlier this month, continues the series of astonishing visual effects with one more outstanding piece.

This time, the creator showcased an impressive dynamic raindrop decal, which enables one to apply a highly-realistic rain effect to 3D surfaces. As usual, the artist leveraged the power of Unity's tools to set up the effect. Moreover, the decal is commercially available and can be purchased via Sakura Rabbit's Fanbox page.

Earlier, Sakura also presented a magical-looking clothing transformation effect, tested out Unity's Adaptive Probe Volumes (APV), showcased a breathtaking winter-themed real-time snow-covering effect, demonstrated a realistic and customizable real-time eye shader, experimented with 3D space distortion, and more. You can check out all of these projects and more by visiting Sakura's Twitter page.

Hey 80.lv, rather than endorsing individuals who resell Unity assets on platforms like Patreon or Pixiv, it's important to understand that this person's work primarily consists of modified Unity Assets. By subscribing to her Pixiv fanbox and reviewing her scenes, it's evident that she's in violation of the Unity EULA. The original Unity Asset creators, who did all the genuine work, are left without credit, while she repackages and resells their assets as her own. Please do your due diligence in the future, as it's expected from journalists like you.
