How is the Clovers sit on top between tiles? for mine, blend modes doesnt seem to be working... they follow the height of the tiles which results in extreme distortion of clovers following the height changes of tiles

Olle Norling, a student at Futuregames shared a thorough breakdown of his Scales Substance created in Allegorithmic’s Designer. The artist went over his cognitive process, the challenges he encountered and talked about techniques.

It is worth noting that Chris Hodgson, who visited the school, helped the artist improve his workflow, especially the parts connected with roughness and coloring.

The breakdown was originally published on ArtStation.
