As a indie developer in a country that don't have a commercial agreement with the US, I hope steam listen to Epic. Steam takes 30% of my revenue, and US gov. get another 30%, than I need to pay taxes in my country (Brazil). So in the end, i get roughly 20% of the full price.

this is an Excellent article, the way its set out with the vids and pics. very technical but not rambley. I learnt alot out of it.

The Substance team has shared a new course on YouTube that will help you create your first Substance Material. Basically, this is a perfect introduction that will let you figure out all the basic concepts and steps in no time.

The course is divided into four chapters:

  • Ch1: Discusses workflow, Substance Designer and node architecture
  • Ch2: Creating the height data
  • Ch3: Creating maps such as roughness, base color
  • Ch4: Material layering, exporting textures and publishing sbsar files
