Bioshock Eclipse's Big Daddy Imagined in 3D With Unreal Engine 5

Mahmoud Hady presented an incredible character model inspired by The Last of Us and the BioShock series.

3D Character Artist Mahmoud Hady has unveiled a spectacular 3D model of Big Daddy from Bioshock Eclipse, a "BioShock in space" game concept, drawing inspiration from The Last of Us and the original BioShock series.

Based on a concept by Ang Chen, the digital character looks as imposing and uncanny as its in-game counterpart and perfectly blends together hard-surface and organic parts. According to the author, the model was set up using Maya, ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, Marvelous Designer, and Unreal Engine 5 with the goal being to level up modeling, texturing, shading, and clothing creation skills. Additionally, the artist collaborated with Heba Sadek and Islam Hussien, who were responsible for rigging and animation, respectively.
