Recreating a Scene from Apex Legends with Megascans Assets

With Respawn Entertainment celebrating its 10th anniversary and opening a new studio in Vancouver to focus on the development of the Apex Legends franchise, we decided to take a scene from the 4th season of the game and pick assets that will help recreate it fast and easy. Check them out!

1. Layered Rock Cliff

For the background hills, we picked the Layered Rock Cliff asset that resembles the texture of the hills in the scene closely. To diversify the look, you can add rocks from the environment collections - just make sure they are similar to this rock surface to create unity.

2. Nordic Moss 

This Nordic Grass surface will be a good choice for the lower ground of the scene. Tweak the color tones since originally it's a bit more yellowish, and it's done!

3. Snow Covered Ground 

Megascans Library has added a nice collection of snow assets, including completely untouched and smooth surfaces as well as snow-covered grounds and roads. For our case, this asset looks like a good option but feel free to pick the one that will work best in your opinion.

4. Orange Metal Sheet

Moving to the details, the construction crane is one of the essential parts of this environment. For its main surface, we've picked this Orange Metal Sheet asset. Although it's plain and simple, text decals and a wear-and-tear effect will help you achieve a more believable look of the crane.

5. Rusted Metal Barrel

Metal Barrels are an additional detail that we thought might come in handy for this environment. Add them or not, it is absolutely up to you! You can also check the whole Abandoned Factory collection to find something more suitable for your scene.
